What to expect on your first visit.
With any of our doctors you should expect to arrive a few minutes early to complete the intake forms.
The intake forms will include an extensive health history, Informed consent (to give us the right to treat the patient), HIPPA compliance form (which states that we will not share your information) and terms of acceptance to our practice.
The consultation will include reviewing the patient's health history, as well as addressing current concerns. Any questions will be welcomed throughout the process.
Posture, movement, and gait analysis may follow the consultation to cue the doctor of issues that you may not be aware of. Through these assessments we are trained to detect imbalances in your musculoskeletal system. Pain is subjective and we need to visually evaluate your body mechanics in order to determine appropriate course of treatment.
The diagnostic examination will take place next. While we have a general screening process, you will be treated as an individual and will receive the appropriate orthopedic and neurologic testing when applicable. We will also use muscle testing to find a vast array of diagnostic information. At the conclusion of the diagnostic process our findings will be clearly explained to you.
Now it's time to get to work! We will integrate our various techniques to restore balance to your body. The treatment will vary depending on the imbalances and their causal relationship. Throughout the entire process we will discuss nutrition, lifestyle habits, sleep, and hydration. Once we have corrected all imbalances, it is time to discuss home care. Based on our exam we may recommend lifestyle or diet changes, and we may dispense vitamin or mineral supplements with specific instructions for use. Lastly we may suggest home stretches or exercises.
