Dr. K. Maggio
Please review the following before arriving at the office for your appointment;
- Arrive a few minutes early. This does not mean you will be seen early, but if the doctor is running on schedule, they will greet you at that time which will give you the maximum allotted time with the doctor.
- Our offices do not have a front desk person to greet you. When you arrive please have a seat and relax until the doctor comes to the reception area to accompany you to the treatment room. PLEASE do not come in and say, "hello" to an empty room to announce your arrival, as that would be disturbing to the party being treated at that moment.
- If you need to fill out forms, you will need at least an extra 15 minutes to complete them. Filling out the forms prior to your scheduled appointment will also assure maximum time with the doctor for the allotted time slot.
- Initial visit: (usually 45 minutes to 1 hour) Subsequent visits: (usually 20 to 30 minutes)
- The HIPAA forms (state mandated privacy act) will be signed at the office location
- Your initial appointment, as well as all subsequent visits are held for a maximum of 10 minutes past the scheduled time slot. If you arrive after the 10 minute window it will be 100%, the discretion of the doctor to accept or reschedule your appointment. It is not a penalty to be rescheduled, in that, the doctor needs a minimum of 20 minutes during a 30 minute appointment slot in order to deliver the proper care, and the cascade of appointments after yours should not be compromised due to your late arrival. We do understand all the variables of how hard it is to be on time, especially in the New York area, but this is to honor all the patients schedules as well as the doctors.
- Finally, and strictly enforced. There is NO eating, drinking or cell phone use in our offices. There are NO exceptions. If you must use your cell phone, you may do so outside of the reception area.
